Remote Audit and Site Visit
Section Agenda
- Minimum site visit frequency
- Remote audit techniques
- Use of audit techniques template
As a result of the worldwide pandemic, there has been a demand for greater adaptability and ingenuity in leveraging technology. Gold Standard has capitalized on this chance to establish fresh criteria and regulations for remote auditing methods and site visits. The objective is to uphold the reliability of the verification process while simultaneously minimizing unnecessary travel and its related environmental impact.
Within the consultation, there is the Site Visit Remote Audit Requirements that specifies the essential criteria for conducting physical site visits, along with a set of measures to guarantee that remote audit methods deliver the same or better quality. Furthermore, a report template on Audit Techniques (Annex 3) is also included. These requirements are applicable to all audits for independent energy projects, with the intention of broadening them to cover Programme of Activities (PoAs) and Land Use and Forests projects in the future.
