PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATION PROCESS OVERVIEW

This is the process after the VVB has verified the performance and outcomes of a project. During this stage, SustainCERT assesses the Adherence to safeguards and stakeholder inclusivity, if Climate and sustainable development impact are achieved, and if Claims are in accordance with GS4GG requirements resulting in the issuance of certified SDG impact statements and/or products.

The purpose of performance certification is to provide assurance and confidence that the project has met its intended goals, targets, or performance indicators, and to validate the claimed impacts or benefits. It is an important step in assessing the effectiveness and success of a project and ensuring transparency and accountability.

What follows performance certification approval?

Approval leads to the status of a CERTIFIED GOLD STANDARD PROJECT, along with the issuance of Gold Standard certified products and/or impact statements.
