About us
We are a climate impact verifier on a mission to bring credibility to climate action. Combining deep climate expertise with innovative, cutting-edge digital solutions, our work is designed to increase the speed and accuracy at which climate impact can be verified.
Founded as an independent organization in 2018 by the Gold Standard Foundation, SustainCERT’s approach aligns with and has already contributed to leading international sustainability frameworks – including the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the UN SDGs and the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
In 2023, we are taking things to the next level by launching the world’s first software platform for digital verification and management of claims. Watch this space, we can’t wait to see credible climate action become the new normal.
BRINGING CREDIBILITY TO CLIMATE ACTION
To stay within 1.5 degrees of warming, our carbon emissions need to reach net zero by 2050. This means a reduction of roughly 7% per year. Climate action needs to scale and be trusted – it’s clear we’ve got serious work to do!
Climate impact data must pass through a rigorous, accurate filter – the verifiers – to demonstrate that progress is happening on the ground. By fusing our deep climate expertise with technology, we are bringing the speed, quality and scalability needed to make credible climate action the new normal.
